The West Potomac Wolverines enter their 44th year of competition and 25th year wearing the silver, blue, and white. West Potomac enjoys a long rowing history and a tradition of excellence, dating back to 1968 as Fort Hunt High School. At the inception of Fort Hunt’s team, only five other local high schools had rowing programs. The Fort Hunt team, under former Head Coach Charles "Chick" Little, fielded many successful crews and celebrated many victories, including winning 4 titles at the prestigious Stotesbury Cup regatta. In 1985, Fort Hunt and Groveton High Schools were merged to create a new high school. The Fort Hunt Legacy continues to this day under the West Potomac name. Not all athletes are pictured above
The meeting has been NOT BEEN rescheduled. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
We anticipate it still will be held at the Mount Vernon Governmental Center in Supervisor Hyland’s Conference Room (at 2511 Parkers Lane near the Mount Vernon Hospital and Sherwood Hall Library, across Parkers Lane from Walt Middle Whitman School)
