Directions from Washington D.C.: Take I395 South to I95. Continue South about 15 miles. Just after crossing the Occoquan River take the Route 123 exit North and proceed approximately 3 miles to Hampton Road. Turn left at the light and go approximately 1 mile to Van Thompson Road and turn left. Follow Van Thompson to parking lots.
Directions from south: Take I95 North to the Route 123 exit. Proceed as above.
Directions to Thompson's Boathouse, Georgetown, D.C
Parking is approximately one half mile offsite, a shuttle is provided. Large bulky items (such as large coolers) are allowed, but can difficult due to limited space on the buses.
Take Interstate 95 north to exit 54 onto Hanover Street (MD-2). Cross the drawbridge. At the first traffic light after the drawbridge, make a right onto Waterview Avenue. The rowing club is the red-roofed building on the right.
Take the George Washington Parkway North to Old Town, Alexandria. Turn right at Madison Street. Proceed six blocks to the end of Madison. The Rowing Facility is the blue building located on the Potomac river, at the end of Madison Street in Old Town Alexandria. There is limited parking in front of the boathouse as well as on-street parking in the area.
