Each member family is identified in the totals using the unique rower ID.  Don’t know your ID?? Contact Anne Stilwell @ annestilwell@cox.net

If the points shown do not match your records, please contact the event organizer (not the points coordinator). Requests for corrections must be initiated by the event coordinator and must be approved by the appropriate vice president, who will notify the points coordinator.

How to meet the obligation

Here are suggested guidelines to reach your required points for the year:

·         Start early. Do not leave your point requirement until the last minute. The crew needs help year round and often has to rely on the same families.  Take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

·         Check the website.  Volunteer requirements are added and updated every month.  They are frequently not filled, even at the last minute.

·         Plan ahead. Sign up for opportunities that interest you or fit your schedule before they are taken.

·         Volunteer. If you have an area of expertise that will benefit the crew or reduce the cost of running the team, approach a board member and volunteer your service.

·         Sign in. Every time you work for points, sign the sign-in sheet. If you did not register online, make sure your name is recorded correctly.

·         Keep a log. Keep a detailed log of points as you accumulate them. This is the athlete family's responsibility. If an error occurs in reporting points, you can use your log to help get the error corrected.

There are three options to choose from to cover the annual dues obligation:

A:  $750 + 750 points

B:  $1125 + 375 points

C:  $1500 + 0 points

·         Points are earned from June 1st of one year through May 31st of the following year.

·         Points are earned on an annual basis and cannot be carried over to the following rowing season (academic year).

·         The burden of proof for Points earned falls on the member, not the event coordinator. 

·         Each volunteer member must sign the WPCB sign-in sheet provided by the event coordinator at each event. 

·         Families whose point obligation is not met by the deadline date must remit payment for the remaining balance at $1 per point; end of season awards including varsity letters may be withheld until these balances are cleared with the Club.

·         If a student withdraws from the program at any time during the year, their Points earned are not refundable or transferable.

·         Points are not pro-rated if the rower participates during only part of the year.
